This activity was designed for use in both my World History and AP World History classes. It provides students the basic information about the rise of the Gupta in the Indian region and then introduces students to an station activity where they create "palm-leaf" booklets on the achievements of the Gupta. At the end a slide is prepared to encourage wrap up and discussion of the impact of the Empire. Station directions and task cards are included at the end of the powerpoint. These can easily be printed out to set up the stations. Some additional materials will be needed for students to complete tasks. This activity can be used for general or AP level students, but time adjustments will need to be made for lower levels. Advanced students can complete full activity in one block (90 minutes) with previous reading on the Gupta Empire assumed.
