Have you ever wondered how to help your students who struggle with reading comprehension? Research has shown that students who struggle with reading comprehension do not employ active reading strategies. These strategies include predicting, questioning, connecting, summarizing, questioning, etc. These 8 1/2 x 14 size posters display one active reading strategy at a time with a brief explanation so that you can teach students these important strategies. I use them at the beginning of the year and then have students report back on each strategy during our literature circle groups.
