For teaching active and passive voice, this unit starts with four pages of teacher board notes, usable with overheads or transferrable to Smart/Prom boards. I use simple sentences for this part.
Student worksheets coordinate with the board notes and give added practice.
There are also three days of bell work, with a student answer sheet. That is followed by a self-quiz and an extended lesson that has students identifying passive voice in complex and compound sentences.
A final test is included.

A creative writing lesson is attached that uses an introductory paragraph and asks students to complete the story. Included is a student handout with instructions, and two pages for their story, with an attractive border.
I have used this successfully with both high school and middle school classes.
