Your students will be "Seeing Symmetry" with this activity pack related to my newest picture book! Most are suitable for Math Centers. Included are the following (items marked with an asterisk require having the book on hand):

*Seeing Symmetry Search (to find various items in book)
*Find the Matching Pictures (match silhouettes with book illustrations)
Drawing Lines of Symmetry page
Folding Lines of Symmetry printable
Tracing Rotational Symmetry worksheet
What Kind of Symmetry? (Venn diagram comparing Line vs. Rotational symmetry)
Line Symmetry Surprise Sort (cut and paste)
Seeking Symmetry in real world recording sheet
Also, printable Capital Letter Cards in color and b + w for these 2 activities:
Capital Letter Contortions (pairs of students form letters with fingers and hands for each other to guess)
Making words with vertical or horizontal symmetry
Recording sheets and Answer keys are provided.
Aligned with the Common Core Math Standard for 4th Grade Geometry 4.G.3: Recognize a line of symmetry for a two-dimensional figure as a line across the figure such that the figure can be folded along the line into matching parts. Identify line-symmetric figures and draw lines of symmetry.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I'm the author-illustrator of 40+ picture books used in elementary classrooms and by homeschoolers across the USA and internationally.
