This is a scripted minilesson that will help your students add internal thinking to their stories. This lesson demonstrates that writers alternate between internal thinking and action when they write personal narratives. One way writers get started is by creating an internal timeline to show how were thinking and an external timeline to show whats happening. (Examples of an internal and an external timeline are in the lesson.)
