This is a fake menu of prices at a Mexican restaurant. I use this during my decimals unit for a fun, group activity. Students take turns being the customers and servers for their table. You can vary how you do this, for example: I have students each choose an appetizer, entree, dessert, and drink. Both the customer and server must find the total. If they match, they can switch roles, if not, they must calculate again. For higher level students or classes I use this to also teach calculating tax and tip. They really have fun talking about the different foods and they get so serious about what they want to "order."
