Matching the new common core this is a complete unit for teaching the memorization of addition facts addend by addend. It can be used in kindergarten common core "fluently adds to 5", in 1st grade "fluently adds to 10" or in 2nd grade "fluently adds to 20".
Starting with +0, each section includes flashcards & 2 practice tests to send home for homework. Then 2 practice tests and a final test for during class. Each test has 20 problems to be completed in 2 minutes.
Sections include +0, +1, +2, +3, Doubles Facts, Tens Facts, +4, +5, +6, +7, +8, +9, & +10.
Flashcards can also be printed off for during class use. You could have an older grade come to practice and drill with the flashcards. You could also leave flashcards at a center or station for independent practice.
I use this unit every year starting in January and my students have a huge memory bank of facts by the end and do very well on their timed tests.

Thanks! This was exactly what I needed. I use it for 2nd grade...I would love a 2nd grade letter to parents...also...have you thought about a graphing chart to let students keep track of data? Just a few suggestions. Thanks so much.

Great idea! I will adjust the letter to work for multiple grade levels and I do have a tracking chart that I use! I will add it and update the file!

Hi there-
Do you have cards for the reverse facts also? Ie - one sheet of the facts with 9+1, 9+2, 9+3, etc and another with 3+9, 2+9, 1+9?

The reverse facts are incorporated into the practice sheets and assessment sheets. When I teach it in class we talk about it and practice it, but I did not include them into the flash cards because I did not want to overwhelm the parents. Let me know if you want me to reverse them and send them to you so you can add them to your unit.
