This 24 page unit plan developed by Stephanie Giese includes lesson plans, activities, and resources developed and collected to help today's students gain a better understanding of the African American slave culture. This week-long unit can be incorporated into any U.S. history class or used during black history month. This unit includes lessons and activities that describe the music, food, and lifestyle of the slave culture.
