Fractional Coefficients

Objectives:
Students will explain how multiplying by the LCD transforms an equation with fractional coefficients into a form that is easy to solve and will use this method to solve such equations.

NCTM Standards:
Students analyze and evaluate the mathematical thinking and strategies of others.

California Content Standards:
(13.0) Students add, subtract, multiply, and divide rational expressions and functions. Students solve both computationally and conceptually challenging problems by using these techniques.
