This is a ten question test on systems of equations. There are 8 systems of equations in which the directions are to solve the system either graphically, with substitution, or by elimination (linear combination method). Of these eight questions, one has no solution and one has an infinite number of solutions. These are starred to assist students in recognizing the special nature of these questions. The final two questions are systems of inequalities and there are graphs provided for these. There is a BONUS word problem at the end. I use this in my Algebra 2 class, but it could be applied to other math courses.

I am in my sixth year of teaching. My certification is in Math grades 7-12. I began teaching in an IB/Magnet High School in Rochester, NY where I taught Precalculus, Computer Programming, and Math A. After 2 successful years, my family moved to Florida where we could enjoy the sunshine year round. For the past 4 years, I have been teaching in a suburban High School in Florida. In addition to teaching Geometry, Algebra, and AP Calculus AB, I co-chair the math department. I am currently working on my National Board Certification.
