This download includes all of the materials you need to create a "Student of the Week" type display. I currently use this routine with my 2nd grade students.
The following included items will be sent home in a gallon size Zip-Loc bag one to two weeks before a student's assigned week:
* Direction sheet to parents
* "Frame" for student to decorate his/her name (will be displayed in center of board for the week and will then be the cover for the student's book - see below)
* Six sheets with lines (to be copied on different colored cardstock - each sheet has 3 sets of lines, so you would make 7 copies of each for a class of 21). Each student's bag will have 6 different colored "cards" with lines (numbered 1-6 to assist with creating the timeline).
In addition to the materials for the kit, I have included writing paper with "All About _______, By: _________" (primary and intermediate lines). At the end of the week, the students write about the student of the week. These sheets are compiled into a book (using the "frame" as a cover) to be given to the student of the week. These books are a great keepsake for the students to take home!
I have also included a letter that introduces the project that could be sent home in September.
