I created a short and plain All About Me Book about 5 years ago and have updated it. This truly inspires me! I think the students will enjoy getting to know me through this book! Thanks so much for your hard work!
I am so excited to start using this product next year! It gives such a personal feeling to the classroom. Awesome work!

I have a MacBook Pro with LibreOffice (open source). Will it open on this?
Thanks for stopping by my store! I believe as long as it opens Office Powerpoint, it should be fine as other mac users have been able to edit the file. If for some reason it does not work, I'd be glad to refund the product if necessary.

Is the PowerPoint completely editable? I want to use the background to type in my I Can statements.
Thanks for stopping by my store! Sorry, the slide backgrounds have been flattened so that the they are protected to comply with copyright regulations, so you could edit the text and add photos, but it is not completely editable. You could purchase just the backgrounds for your own use, though, to make I can statements. Here is the link:

Hello. I am assuming I cannot create my pages in Microsoft Word.....I have not created too many PowerPoints, but am familiar with PowerPoint. Can these pages be saved in JPG so I can get them printed at the local UPS Store? Thanks!!
You are correct, unfortunately the pages will not work in Word. The good news is that they are very easy to edit in Powerpoint. All you do is open the file, click on the text boxes and type in your text. Then, choose Insert Picture, and select a photo from your computer (just like you would do in Word). When you are done, you can save it as a powerpoint and print it as is or save it as JPGS (I think you may need PPT 2010 to do this, though). To save as JPGs, you will need to choose Save As and select JPGs from the drop down list. Hope that helps!

Hi, Just purchased and love it. Would like to edit the spelling of favorite to the Canadian way favourite. Can you help me out.
The file is a pptx, which is the same used in 2007, so it is compatible. Several others have success using PPT 2007, but if you have any issues, they can be fixed by downloading Open Office.

I have not received an answer to my question about my recent purchase, All About Your New Teacher.
I am not able to use it because I do not have powerpoint 2010. Is there another program that I
can use to make it work? Next time I will be more careful to read about necessary programs for
downloading.
I'm so sorry. Do you have any version of powerpoint? If so, you can send me an email to onceuponafirstgradeadventure@gmail.com with your username and I'll get you a file that is compatible with older versions of ppt. If not, you are welcome to contact customer service for a refund. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi! I'm having trouble editing my name on the front cover since it is not a "text box". How can I fix this? Thanks!
You may be using an older version of ppt...try deleting the box that says edit text and add your own text box:). If that doesn't work, send me an email at onceuponafirstgradeadventure@gmail.com and I'll send you a compatible version.

I recently purchased, All About Your New Teacher! I can download it but cannot edit it. When I click on the portion that need editing, nothing happens. I do not have powerpoint 2010 and did not realize I would need it until after I made the purchase. Do you have any suggestions on how
I will be able to make the program work.
Thanks for your help.

I absolutely LOVE this! I noticed that a previous customer had a similar question, so here goes. I have Power Point 2003 (sad, I know). If I were to purchase it, would you be willing to send me the version that would work on my computer?
Yup! Just send me an email at onceuponafirstgradeadventure@gmail.com with your tpt username after you make your purchase :)

I should have read more clearly, but I don't have ppt 2010. I can get it open, but I am not able to edit or save it as PDF. I don't know why. I don't have a key that let's me Enable editing either. I'm not sure what to do next. I really like this, but I am having some difficulty----I'm not very computer savy either. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Are you using a Mac? The 2007 version uses pptx files, which is what this file is. If you are using a mac, I've had several other people have success by downloading Open Office and editing the file that way. If it still doesn't work, send me an email at onceuponafirstgradeadventure@gmail.com with your tpt username and the file you need, and I'll send you the ppt version.
Send me an email at onceuponafirstgradeadventure@gmail.com with your tpt username and your request, and I'll send you a version with editable headers. :)

When I opened it it opend in Power point. Now I can't get it to open in Adobe. Help
This file is editable in powerpoint, so it will not open in adobe. If you would like to save it as a pdf, you can do so by selecting Save As and choosing PDF in Powerpoint.

I purchased your powerpoint on Wednesday. I have Powerpoint 2007 on my school computer and Powerpoint for Mac 2011 at home. Do you have a version that would work for your template?
You can email me at dfitts@forsyth.k12.ga.us
Thank you!
Thank you for your purchase! I believe the 2010 version should work for both as the file is a pptx, which is what the 2007 and 2011 both save as by default. Have you tried editing the file in either version?

Do you have to edit the book in PowerPoint 2010? I have PowerPoint 2004? I LOVE the booklet and would love to purchase it, but I want to make sure I will be able to edit it. Thanks a bunch!
Hi! I can save the ppt as an older format and send it to you so you can edit it. All you need to do is purchase the version on tpt, then email me at onceuponafirstgradeadventure@gmail.com and I'll reply with the version you need. Thanks!

What font did you use for your "All About" words (and those like them--the headings) that are in the neat colors with the blue shading/shadowing around them? (or is there some Power Point trick I haven't found yet?!!) Thanks. :o) Very cute booklet. :o)
Hi! Thanks for your purchase! The font is called CK Handprint and I did combine it with some Powerpoint tricks! To make the headers, I just used the wordart feature to fill the letters in different colors with a black outline. Then, I used the "glow" feature in powerpoint (it is in the "text effects" menu) to make the turquoise that surrounds the font. :)

Just purchased the "All About Your New Teacher" editable book ... love it! Is the "edit name" (on first page) editable? I can't seem to make it work :)
Shanna, Thanks for your purchase--I'm glad you like it! The name on the first page should be editable just like the rest of the text boxes (I downloaded it from tpt, and it seems to be working on my computer). Is there a yellow box at the top of your Powerpoint toolbar that says, "Enable Editing?" Sometimes you have to select that before it will allow you to make any changes. Hopefully that will fix the problem for you. If not, let me know and I can email you the file and we'll try again. :)
Kaitlin, Thank you so much for your purchase! I'm glad you like the book kit! The main font I used is called CK Handprint, which you can download for free online. :)
This is my sixth year teaching first grade, and I could not imagine myself anywhere else! From teaching my firsties how to read to celebrating the 100th day of School in super-hero style, I absolutely love it!
