All Star Sight Words- Kindergarten or First Grade- First 25 Fry Words

Are your students sports fanatics?? My students love sports, and this packet uses that interest to build sight word knowledge!!

This packet focuses on the 1st 25 Fry Words. There are many activities to provide students opportunities to learn to read, write, and spell these words.

These following activities are included:

12 Sorting Sight Words Independent Practice Pages- These independent practice pages have a sports theme. Each page focuses on 2 sight words. Students cut the soccer balls, footballs, basketballs, or baseballs and sort them into the correct categories.

5 Writing Sight Words Independent Practice Pages- These independent practice pages have a basketball theme. Each page focuses on five sight words. Students write each word four times.

5 Building Sight Words Independent Practice Pages- These independent practice pages have a football theme. Each page focuses on five sight words. Students cut out the letters and build each of the sight words.

"Let's Shoot Some Hoops" Center Activity- This activity is ready to print and use as a literacy center tomorrow!! Students choose a word card from the file and cover the matching basketball on their game board. The first students to cover all of the words wins!!

"I Am a Sight Word All Star" Certificates= These printable certificates can be given to students when they learn all 25 sight words! There are black-and-white and color versions, as well as quarter-page or full-page versions.

Sight Word Flash Cards- These flash cards can be printed for use in the classroom or to send home with students. There are black-and-white and color versions; two sets feature boy athletes,
while the other two feature girl athletes.
