This is a lesson that teaches the students the basics about alliteration (and rhyme). Good towards the beginning of a poetry unit. It includes sample poems, notes, and an activity where students choose a letter from a hat, and have to write 2 alliterative poems inspired by that letter (model poems included).

7 years of successful teaching in the Public High School system in NYC. While there, I have taught English to 9th, 10th and 11th graders. In addition I have taught courses in SAT Prep, Media Studies.
