Teachers Pay Teachers

This is a good activity. The beginning definition and example give it focus from the start. The teacher-composed, up-to-date sentences are loaded with student-appeal. This lesson would work well as a warm-up before students compose their own sentences.

Hi Jeri-lyn,
Just came across your free offering and opened it out of curiosity. I constantly mix up "allusion" and "illusion" in my writing, so your product caught my attention.
This is an excellent lesson! You have composed your own sententes to give it more student-appeal, and you included a definition and an example to clarify the purpose of the activity. When you are writing for other people, adding this type of information is a big plus.
I'm also sending this note because I believe I have found a type-o in number 2. Shouldn't it read "UTTERED VICIOUS epithets" rather than "uttervicious epithets"?
Finding you page has clearned up my definitions of "allusion" and "illusion" and you have taught me a new word. Until today, I had no concept of EPITHETS. Thanks. I'm going to leave a good rating for this product.
