The 30 pages are set up so the child can first differentiate between first only two letters, then three, and finally four. The two letter sort gives the young child the success they need to become confident and the four letter sort gives the older child enough of a challenge to really make them think (such as the b,d,p,q sort).
These worksheets are great for helping a child who is just learning letters. Or they make a great review for the child who knows all of his/her letters. I created these while teaching Kindergarten based upon my Reading Recovery training!
Once the child has been shown how to complete the first sheet, s/he should be able to complete the rest independently. These worksheets can be used during phonics, reading, writing, or center time!

Beermom, I actually used this while teaching Kindergarten at a school that uses D'Nealian. The whole point is that students notice a WIDE VARIETY of handwriting styles. Their are D'Nealian k's and other letters that my students recognized, but there are all different fonts as well. TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have PreK-6th grade experience. I started my teaching adventure by accident. My major was business and electronic commerce, but I started working part-time at a preschool during college. That job made me realize what I was truly meant to do! This fall I will begin teaching 6th grade. However, in the past I have taught Kindergarten, Reading Recovery, Title I math and reading, 5th grade inclusion special education, and a multi-grade classroom of ELL students. I was also the overseer of my first school's special education department. I also teach Asian students during the evenings, weekends, and summer.
