The time period from 1789-1808 was crucial for America. We were noticing parts of the Constitution that were not very specific, figuring out our identity as a democracy, fighting about the role of government, talking about expanding west, and wondering which European nations to trust.
While not a day-to-day lesson plan, this packet can supplement and complement your current materials. It contains 3 sets of teacher notes, 2 primary source worksheets, 1 review crossword puzzle, 1 anagram wordplay activity, 2 versions of a quiz, and a list of online resources.
The material was originally developed for a high school United States History class. However, some middle school teachers might benefit from having it in their files as an extra resource for information and ideas.
