Analogies analyzing relationships between words goes over the various types of analogies: synonyms, antonyms, homophones and rhyming, parts of a whole and groupings, characteristics, howthings are used/ singular and plural spelling, animal groups and offsprings, tools and occupations/ and things that go together. There are sections in science, socail studies and just for fun analogies. all are multiple choice. this is a great book for getting students ready for testing. I used this book in a remedial high school reading class to reinforce this skill.

i think so...i definitely like the overview... There are not too many on a page so it isn't overwhelming.
you can even have them get in pairs and create their own analogies for each category...
for instance: tools people use
