This is an entire unit that can be used to teach primary age students about the functions of the body including the heart, lungs, liver, small and large intestine and brain. There are fact sheets about each organ that can be read aloud to students, a unit plan with activities that can be used to teach about each organ, handouts that can be colored and placed onto a "body apron" which students can wear, and other poems and visuals to accompany the unit. This unit has been researched and put into practice over several years by first grade teacher, Shannon Gold.
Fantastic. Detailed and complete. Can wait to use it this term. Very happy

This unit is going to make my life so much easier. I can't wait to see the look on my students faces when they get to make the apron and attach all the organs to it. I know they will love attaching the brain to a sentence strip and wearing it as a headband. Thank you so much!
