This graphic organizer can be used to analyze any war and to promote higher level thinking skills such as analysis and synthesis. It helps students understand wars as multidimensional and complex events with political, military, and civilian involvement and consequences. It can effectively be used to organize concepts throughout a unit on war, as a study guide to be completed at the end of the unit, or it can be broken down into parts and assigned as a group activity. This file is the based on the same organizer as my free offerings but it is broken down into five parts to make distribution to students and group projects easier. This segmented version has more space for student responses. I have used this with great success in my classes and have found that it has been a great tool for helping students understand the different parts of war.
