This 9-slide "Ancient Contributions to the World" PowerPoint presentation with pictures teaches students about contributions that ancient civilizations made to the world that are still in use today. It covers all of the civilizations taught in the 7th grade World Geography standards, including slides of contributions made by the Romans (ex. Roman numerals), Muslims (algebra), China (tea), Africa (gold), Japan (first novel), Meso-American cultures (zero), and Europe (perspective paintings). This is also a great PowerPoint for 8th graders to review 7th grade material for the Social Studies CST test.
