This file contains fill in the blank notes and a PowerPoint presentation about the process the Ancient Egyptians used mummify the dead. There are PDF, Microsoft Word, and Pages files depending on which type of application you use.
There are 2 PowerPoint presentations included for you to choose from and one Keynote presentation if you use a Mac.
My students have loved this lesson in the past and I typically go and borrow a skeleton from the science teacher along with some salt, playdough, and other items to bring this lesson to life. I would keep the student hidden in my closet and covered up telling the students we had a special guest, who was very old, or that one of my former students was stopping by, something like that to peak their interest.
It's a fun lesson to teach and the students walk away with a better understanding of the process and how long it takes.
