This is a very nice project that allows you to study all the important Roman emperors by making each student an expert on one and having them report what they learn to the class. Includes a lesson plan/project for your students on a selected Roman emperor. Guidelines and instructions, list of emperors to use with students (avoiding the short-lived and inappropriate rulers), and ideas for presenting the final product to the class both visually and orally.

Looking for more to help you teach about Ancient Rome? How about a bundled set of SIXTEEN varied, creative activities and printables? Some are multi-day tasks and some for only one period, but all were created to engage and teach your students about Ancient Rome. There are even three separate projects for your students included.

I just purchased the Roman Emperor project package. The description says the package includes a list of emperors to use as well as a list of emperors NOT to use. I can't find the list of "bad" emperors anywhere in the text. It could be me and my failing eyesight after a couple of hours of research, but did that part get edited out? It was a selling point for me, so you might want to edit it from the description if it's no longer a part of the product.

Thanks for your purchase and your question. I will have to go back and look at the packet. I think if an emperor is not listed as one of the "good" or "appropriate" emperors for students to study, and I know there is such a list, you can assume he was one of the "baddies" and should be avoided. Nevertheless, I will adjust the description if there isn't a list of names for the bad ones. Other than that, I hope you are happy with the product.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an upper elementary and middle school teacher for 31 wonderful years and have loved every minute of it. For me, content is the key. I believe the plans, printables, and worksheets I have created have above all else high-quality content, but are also practical and ready-to-use. Each item I sell has been used in my classroom or by a part of my teaching team (teacher-tested) and is clearly written. I won't put any lesson or idea on TeachersPayTeachers unless I am certain YOU can understand it, teach with it today, and that it has value for children.
