Students will demonstrate their knowledge of animal adaptations and habitats by creating a unique animal. This file includes a checklist with a list of vocabulary words for students to use in their animal description and drawing. Also included is a page for students to draw their animals and write a description(both primary lines and regular). Please email me if you have any questions.

Super cute idea!
How do you start this? Graphic organizer?
do you have them go to websites? Books?
Id love to do this in my class, but I'm not sure how to organize their research....
Hi, if you email me at kchstar@yahoo.com I will send you some things that I use with my class. There is one cute website that lists the top 10 animal adaptations. I usually start by telling what an adaptation is and then have students work in groups to come up with a list of what they think the top ten adaptations would be. Then they compare their list to the actual list. If you email me I will send more details. Thanks
I have taught public school in Florida for the last 4 years, both 1st grade and 2nd grade. Prior to that, I taught a K-2 class at a private school in Gainesville, Fl for 3 years.
