Everything you need to create a memorable bulletin board for the beginning of the school year, or even the end! Included in this file are easy to use templates, step-by-step student friendly directions, and a variety of writing prompts!
You can arrange your board so that all of the ants are crawling along the bottom while the writing is across the board, or you can use the ant as a topper for the writing.
I LOVE writing craftivities--they motivate my kids to do their best writing, so they can do the fun craft! This one is too cute, and I can't wait to have my new firsties do it next year! It would also be super cute for the end of the year! Thanks so much for sharing this!

We used the 'anticipating summer' version with our first graders - they LOVED it and it made a great June bulletin board. We can't wait to use it with our incoming first graders in September.
How fun! And one way to introduce the word "anticipate" as well.

I loved using this for my kinders. I pre-made the ants because time didn't allow for them to make it. They were so excited to answer the questions about grade one (most can't wait for recess!).
A wondering I have would be could there be a version that says "Grade [blank]" instead of first grade? Linguistically, we call it Grade 1, instead of First Grade.
