This is an extended anticipation guide with general statements about biological classification systems. It's designed to be used as a pre-reading strategy with most biology books. Students check agree/disagree prior to reading and discuss their choices. Then they read the text selection and return to review the agree/disagree. Space is provided for them to extend their thinking by adding a reason. Anticipation guides are great activating and summarizing tools on one sheet that have been proven to help students become active readers.
The guide also has a box at the end to tape in your state standards if needed. And an essential question is included. A short teacher's information sheet on how to use anticipation guides as well as where to find more information is also given to you. You will also get an answer sheet for the guide.
Ask Patrice Smith a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.
