This includes two worksheets. For best use, first download my free Antigone 20 Vocab Words Powerpoint.
The 1st worksheet is to deepen students' understanding of the words' meanings. It includes the vocab word in bold plus 3 other words. They need to decide which of the other words does not fit in...the remaining ones will serve as definitions/synonyms. Best done with partners and/or use of dictionaries.
The 2nd worksheet is a cloze assignment, context-rich sentences in which students need to "fill in the blank" with the best-fitting vocab word from the list of 20.
