I have created 7 games that align to the First Grade Common Core Language Arts Standards. They would fit perfectly into stations, centers or can be done as small groups or the whole class! Each game has the standard listed as well as directions and possible variations plus a recording sheet. A few of the games have additional worksheets/cards for enrichment or more practice. When adding up all the games and possibilities, you will have 12+ different games that could be played.
The games include:
*Sorting words by the short vowel (2 different sets of the same game)
*Spin-a-word-A spinner is included for each short vowel. Students will spin for an onset and rime
*ABC Order-Ordering apple themed words alphabetically
*Write the Room-2 different versions of a recording sheet; students will be given a letter (on an apple) and will either find words in the room that begin with that letter or contain that letter
*Sentence/Fragment Sort-students will sort the sentences/fragments and record the sentences correctly
*Label pictures-2 different pictures with 2 different variations of each. Students will label with an adjective and noun
*Go-Apple-Picking-----Card game variation of "Go-Fish" where students will have words with apples. They will Go-Apple-Picking in the "orchard" instead of fish.
All games have an apple theme and I have designed them to use at the beginning of the year in my first grade classroom :)

I am unable to print this document because it is locked. Is there a possibility you could fix that? I was so excited about the centers and am disappointed that I won't be able to use them after my purchase!

Try to download it again. That shouldn't be happening. When I download it I am able to print without a password. If you are still unable you might want to contact TPT from the main page to ask for their assistance. The file is not password-ed for printing----just for copying because of graphic copyrights.
