This is a fun apple shaped book to do in a first or second grade classroom, especially in Fall. Each child could either bring in an apple, or you could have room parents or even yourself provide them for snack on a certain day. Prior to just eating the apples, tell the students that they are going to be scientists investigating these apples.
They will then cut out the apples and make their scientist "notebook" and begin investigating. They will write down the color, size (measuring with a ruler) and make a prediction about the amount of seeds in their apple. They will then check their prediction and eat the apple!
Once they are finished eating, they will tell about how the apple tastes.
This is an activity that students love to take home to share! :) ENJOY!

Help
I have always loved working with younger students and have done my best to have an opportunity to teach, at least on some level, each of the younger grades.
