Thanks!
I played this today with my low kids. Suggestions for those getting this set.
1. Do NOT put in tall the draw 2 cards. Makes game go much slower!:) Also, I have the kids play like regular uno and draw until you can play. Makes play MUCH slower!:)
Kids love the graphics!!
Hi Deedee,
Thanks so much for sharing this game. Uno is a favorite. I down loaded this to give to the teachers I work with as a center for the first weeks while they review letters. They hands down refused to use it because they did not like that the animals and the letters did not match. At this point in the year - the beginning - the kinders are just reviewing names and sounds and not initial sounds, but still no takers. Have your students ever been confused with the initial letter sound of the animal and the letters being different. Anyway, I will be using this game for my take out groups. Thanks so much. Debbie
I'm sorry your other teachers were not open to trying it. Yes, my students will say, "Walrus, p" but I play this with them in a small group first, so they know the picture does not represent the sound.
I hope your kiddos enjoy it.

Oops, I forgot to check the box "email me when the seller responds". I am the preschool teacher asking the question about adapting this to my students' needs. Thanks again.
I think this would be a great letter recognition practice. If you feel the rules behind UNO are too complex, you can use them this way: In a teacher lead activity they could read the letters as you show them. When they get a "Wild" card they could jump up and make one of those wild animal sounds. I would remove the "Draw 2" cards.
