I love your idea for the journals, but I'm hesitant to use it due to the "font." In 2nd grade, I spend so much time teaching the correct use of capital/lowercase letters. This font uses capital letters where they are not needed. How can I justify this when I count off for incorrect use? Have you considered doing this same checklist in another font? Thank you so much for sharing your ideas with others. If you do this in another font, please let me know, because it is a great idea to put in my journals.

Once I get home from teaching summer classes, Ill change the font to Cosmic Sans and email you. Sorry about that, great point... The cuter fonts never follow the rules.
This is my fourth year as a teacher. I spent the first three years of my career teaching Kindergarten, then made the move up to second grade this year. I love teaching those little second graders so much!
