Arrays Drawing and Writing SMARTBoard Lesson
Introduce and walk your students through the process of drawing Arrays with this 8 step process.
21 story problems are included in this SMARTBoard Lesson to teach Multiplication through drawing Arrays.
Directions:
Each child will need a white board and marker.
Teacher will begin by either reading or having a student read the story problem to the class.
Teacher will then touch the first button at the top of the chalkboard.
Teacher will direct the students to possible answers.
Students will write their own answers on white boards.
Teacher will touch the second button to reveal the correct answer.
Teacher and students will continue this process until problem is completed.
Teacher will walk around the room as students follow the directions and do the work on their white boards.
Less and less teacher support should be needed as you work through the 23 Smart Board pages.
If you have an interactive Whiteboard but it is not a SMARTBoard you can still use this lesson by downloading SMART Notebook Express at:

I love the ideas you have. I don't have a smartboard. We have a mimio and a white board. Will your lessons work on a mimio? We just got this and I am having trouble figuring out how to make lessons that will work on it. If yours work, you just saved me a million headaches.

I am not positive this will work since I don't have a mimio board. Now with that said I have been doing some checking around and I have found that there is a process to convert SMARTBoard lessons to Mimio. Here are the directions I found:
You need to pull up mimio and then when you click on open file, there is the drop down box that is labeled files of type, there should be a smart notebook listing. Realize anything that is interactive will not work. Pictures and text will download fine. Sometimes backgrounds would not always transfer over but that is an easy fix. If the smart software is on your computer still, the notebook software will run and work the same, you just have to use the mimio pen.
Now there is animation with this lesson so it may not work the way it should. You might want to check with your tech person to see if you can reactivate the animation once it downloads.
