This full color two-sided scavenger hunt sheet is an awesome tool for conducting a self-guided field trip to the Art Institute of Chicago. It is designed to take students to a variety of galleries in the museum while asking them unique questions that can only be answered after close viewing. You may want to use this Bingo Game to prepare your students for the field trip. I am also including the answer sheet so that your chaperones can help their groups a little better. Explore the museums interactive online pathfinder to help find your way around the museum. Feel free to ask questions.
I think it is worth it to make sure some of these painting are up in the museum. We found most of them, but others were not up when we went. My students LOVED searching around for them!

Every year I take my second-grade gifted class to the Art Institute. They get to see the paintings by artists we've studied in class, but I've never had a hook for the trip. I think this will make their visit even more fun.

I love Tricia's powerpoint presentations. They are so straight forward and just perfect for easy explanations and step-by-by instruction for elementary students.
