Lesson Lady presents Frida Kahlo Style Fruit Collage Lesson! Your students will be excited and interested as they learn about an influential artist from Mexico while learning about colors and collage.
The Frida Kahlo Style Fruit Collage Lesson is part of my Art of the World Series that helps students learn about cultures around the world with art. The following are included in this fun interactive lesson:
- Detailed step by step instructions that are both written and illustrated,
- Lesson plan including objective and materials
- A page of student examples
- A page with images of Frida and fruit still life
Frida Kahlo was known for her self portraits but also created many paintings of fruit. This lesson will help introduce her and her work to your students.
The lesson lasts about one hour but suggestions for breaking the lesson into two 30 minute periods is included. This lesson uses materials easily available in your classroom such as construction paper and glue so you will be able to teach this with ease.
