About Seller

This resource contains 22 daily tasks for 5th grade students to complete while the teacher is taking attendance, checking homework, etc. These tasks are a mix of academic and more creative assignments, with some tasks adapted from state and provincial tests. Language tasks include creative writing, grammar, and spelling,while this month the math tasks include patterning, addition, subtraction, division, measurement, algebra, money, and place value.

This resource is also included in my "Daily Bell Ringers for 5th Grade", available in my store. That resource included prompts for August to June, with an extra "Summer" section for those teachers involved in year-round schooling. Please be aware that this is the American version of this resource, with appropriate spelling and measurement units. My Canadian version will be out soon!

These are really creative. There are just enough for one a day per school day in August - good thinking! Maybe make them a little more challenging (putting numbers from greatest to least with 2- and 3-digits might be too easy??) Nice work! :)

Thanks for the feedback! I was trying to make the August prompts on the easier side only because it was the beginning of the school year, and I wanted to get the kids' self-confidence up. In the full year resource, by June the activities have definitely become more challenging!
