This resource contains 22 academic and creative activities for students to complete first thing in the morning when the teacher is handling attendance, etc. Topics covered include grammar, punctuation, creative writing, money, patterning, fractions, symmetry, and measurement, among others. These activities are meant to reinforce and review skills, with some tasks being modeled after state and provincial tests. Some seasonal prompts are included, and an answer key is provided. These are great activities. I love how you give an example with some of the skills to help the students. They are all review activities that the students should be able to do independently.

Thanks for the feedback! I have found bell work activities to be a wonderful way to provide a review of concepts that may not have been touched for awhile, so that I'm not quite as panicky come state testing time!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in Ontario schools since 1986, teaching in Junior Kindergarten up to Grade 5, as well as in Special Education.. For the 2012-2013 school year I will be a Numeracy Facilitator within my board, working with teachers and students in a variety of classrooms and schools.
