Since they incorporate history and pop-culture, not only are they high-interest, but they can fulfill the Common Core Standards for history/social studies for non-fiction reading and writing. It's good, simple to implement, easy to understand, and beneficial for students, so it might just make me buy the full years worth of writing prompts.

Wonderful resource! I'm heading over to buy the whole year right now. I love how I don't have to plan or write any lessons-you've done all the work for me. They need to add an A+ column on the ratings for your stuff.

I've been teaching at my current public high school for twelve years, and have a total of 16 years experience. Most of my experience is teaching high school English and journalism classes; however, for several years I taught an art history class. I teach all levels--from honors students to special education students; therefore, I'm constantly modifying my assignments to fit my students' needs.
