This is a set of 3 activity sheets to accompany the Phonics Library story "Aunt Lizzy Finds Her Cake" from the Houghton Mifflin reading program. New! Revised in February 2011 to include writing skills as tested on state tests and benchmark tests! These are great activities for independent work during universal access time. The sheets for this story cover the following skills: words ending with -y, the prefix un-, compound words, parts of speech, synonyms/antonyms, personal connections, writing skills, ABC order, possessives, proper nouns, syllables, plurals, sequencing, high frequency words, cause/effect, subject/predicate, sentence types, and table of contents. In my classroom, the children complete these during independent work time, then we check answers together. They love doing them!
