*And a blank template for the authors in your class to create their very own!
You will need one file folder per author to create the product!
I am using this with my class of struggling readers and writers, but I still find the organizer and biographical information a little too low on information. I'll have to adapt it quite a bit. It would be nice to have more biographical information and more than one organizer.
These are simple but useful. I used my first one today and look forward to using the others. I do wish I knew how to edit the documents as there are some simple typos that I can't easily correct.
There aren't "answers." If you study the author with your class, you have your students come up with traits that they notice the authors' books have. The "answers" would be different for every class based off of what the kiddos noticed. For example, if you study David Shannon, your kids might notice that his books have talk bubbles- so you would jot that down as a class. hope that helps. Thanks!

So eye-catching! You had almost all of my favorite authors and a few new ones. Thanks for including the blank set for authors I want to add.

Hi Mrs. Tabb,
I love your idea and purchased the Mega Pack. I did want to ask, is there's a way I can change the font? I teach first grade and "Century Gothic" is the font I primarily use. I thought it would not hurt to ask.
If not is there a way to get the set in the same font you did your Kevin Henkes Page?
No, these are bio folders that support an author study. You simply read the bio to your class and as you read her books, you would fill out what you notice from her books as a class. Hope that helps!
I am the book review editor for the Tchr2Tchr collaborative blog. I wanted to invite you to be a guest reviewer and write a book review (or more than one!) for us. You could link your write about one of the authors featured in your Author Study Folders and link the product at the bottom of the review. Book reviews can be short; the minimum is 200 words, so a paragraph or two. We would also link your store and your blog (if you have one) to the review.
If you're interested you can find all of the details here:

Thanks for considering collaborating with us!
