This is a game to determine the Author's Purpose. There are 6 cards with paragraphs from different forms of literature. Students have to determine the Author's Purpose and then explain their thinking. The following is the directions for the game...Divide into 6 groups. Each group gets a card, but don’t peek yet! Wait until your teacher says go and then read the card and determine the author’s purpose. When time is up, rotate your card to the next group. Repeat these steps until you have completed all 6 cards.
