This is a scaffolded autobiographical narrative essay that is designed for struggling readers. It begins with a brainstorm graphic organizer where students gather ideas about an important event.
The directions will walk students step by step, providing answers, and sentence starters as they go along.
The .zip folder contains .pdf files in different formats for printing. It also contains alterable .doc files.
Very well done. Does lead reluctant writers through the process, step by step. One word.doc doesn't open but the PDF version does. One page was blank so I just got rid of page break to save printing a blank page

Just looking around and found yours. Amazing. I will look at the rest of your offerings even though I teach 7th/8th English.
Looks like a great way to teach personal narrative writing. I will try this project with my students this school year, as my teaching assignment for next year includes students who are below grade level in reading and writing.
