This is a year-long autobiography writing project where students tell the story of their life. Included are: parent letter, student introduction sheet, list of requirements, project checklist, and twelve chapters, each with guiding questions to help students complete this project.
Chapter titles include: A Little Bit About Me, Before I Was Born, You Make an Entrance...and You're Here to Stay!, The Early Years, Childhood Memories, School Days, School Days, Special Times in Your Life, Your Family, Everyday Life at Your Age, Thoughts on Friendship, Brag Page, and The Future.
I LOVE this project! My students are reading The Diary of Anne Frank and it's a great way for them to create their own autobiography project. Thank you!
Just did this assignment with my students. They turned out awesome. Thank you!

I bought this to do with my 6th grade son over the summer. It was a wonderful project as we got to know more about our family and each other. Thank you so much for this terrific idea!

Hi. I teach 6th grade Social Studies, and have been following your blog. I too use INB. Do you have any materials on here that go along with the SS INB? Also-would this biography project be appropriate in a 6th grade SS class? Kind of like, "History of Me..." Thanks so much.

I do not have anything that I have created for my SS INB. Most everything I used in it was from InspirEd Educators. A few of the geography stuff I found on the internet and all of the foldables are from Dinah Zike. I am kind of lazy like that - this was my first year teaching SS and I was just trying to survive in a new grade level, teaching two subjects, and a new subject.
As far as the autobiography project, it is more like a year-long writing assignment where students write about their life before they were born, when they were little, their current life, and finally their goals/dreams for the future. I like the "History of Me" idea and think it could work that way for you.
