This Literature guide consists of cross-curricular activities based on the novel Ben and Me written by Robert Lawson. It's a wonderful historical/biographical fiction book about one of our most important forefathers. The literature guide consists of writing activities, history activities, as well as art and writing. It will certainly appeal to all of your students' various learning styles.
It was good, but surprised that it was only 6 pages. That means it is about a dollar per page. There are only 4 worsheets, 1 activity suggestion page, and a title page. I was really hoping for more. Very disappointing...

I have taught for 36 years at the 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade levels. Fifth grade is my first love. I teach all major subject areas. In addition to my regular classroom duties, I have taught in a Basic Skills summer school program for many years as well as taught workshops to co-workers in whole language and technology. My other duties at school include being "Teacher in Charge" and Student Council advisor.
