This Word document is a 6-page Webquest/Internet search activity that takes the learner through different aspects of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil rig tragedy. This assignment goes very well with the PowerPoint presentation that is also found on this TPT site. This assignment is designed for each student to do on their own, but could easily be adapted to partners or small groups. It would also be easy to adjust to different grade levels and abilities. The activity includes the Web site links that will take students to the information to help them answer different types of questions. The quest is broken down into sections with each one having their own Web site links to help students.

Excellent webquest for any science, current issues, and even English class. It's relevant and an important event for all students to study so the same mistakes aren't repeated. I also like how it is a student-centered activity. The companion powerpoint is a great way to introduce it, as well.
