I love this idea. It makes it nicer for my struggling students who are working on words that they have not mastered. THANK YOU!!!!

Cute concept - my only complain is the letter a. For children struggling to recognize letters and sight words using a different font would have been more helpful. I realize that most students will be able to recognize the "book" a, but those that are struggling with letter recognition at this point in the year need the basic a. Thanks for sharing the freebie, most of my students will be able to use it easily.

Following research, I try to use a large number of fonts. The book a, however, is my favorite as that is the letter that students will see when they read books. I will include both a's and g's in my next freebie to make for greater flexibility. Thanks for the comment. Look for our February freebie that will be posted on February 1st.

Thank you, it will be fun for the students, they love card games. I would request that you make a set with a more mature picture. I work with middle school special ed students who are still learning the site words and they are aware when things seem babyish.
