How would you like to have a full house on Back-to-School Night/Open House? I usually do by sending my own personal invitation to parents/guardians inviting them to attend. There is also a tear-off response for parents. I do this in addition to the letter that goes home from the office. It just personalizes it for parents. My class has won the attendance banner and pizza party for about 5 years straight for having the most parents/guardians attend Back to School Night. I attribute it partially to this letter.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I have taught for 36 years at the 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade levels. Fifth grade is my first love. I teach all major subject areas. In addition to my regular classroom duties, I have taught in a Basic Skills summer school program for many years as well as taught workshops to co-workers in whole language and technology. My other duties at school include being "Teacher in Charge" and Student Council advisor.
