In the days of punch out bulletin board characters and letters, taking the time to cut out your letter and border may seem time-consuming, but I think you will find using the letters and border found in my file a bit more economical. The other materials in the file can be used for fast time-savers during those hectic first weeks of school. The included slide shows are excellent opportunities to get you started with using your classroom technology right away.
The Welcome Back to School zip file contains the following materials.
A School, Home, or Both PDF slide show. The original PowerPoint is also included so modifications can be made. The students will view pictures of different items that can be found at school, home, or both. They can use the included indicator cards to show their responses.

A 12 Days of School PDF slide show. This fun slide show can be sung to the 12 Days of Christmas. The original PowerPoint is also included so modifications can be made.

A first day of school worksheet, where the students can write their names and their teacher’s name, then color a picture in the center of the worksheet. The worksheet can then be placed on the Welcome Back To School 2008! bulletin board. Also printable cards for a Guess Who activity.


More importantly you may have had the summer off, but we know how busy those summer months can be. Even though the start of school can be crazy, take a few minutes to reflect on your importance as an educator. Teachers Rule! Have a great school year.
