This unit is part of the Third Grade Science Bundle which includes all materials necessary for a year of hands-on, inquiry based science. While this unit is complete all by itself, you will save over $10 by purchasing the bundle.
Are you looking for the perfect science investigation for the first week or two of school? This resource helps students review scientific concepts, learn important teamwork skills, work through inquiry, and realize that together they can do anything...even walk on air! This is a lesson that students will never forget!
The three lessons in this resource include:
Day one- Review the scientific process by playing the included vocabulary game and using whole class or technology based vocabulary review. All steps are included.
Day two- Using inquiry, students have the opportunity to try to create a procedure to help them explore with air pressure and actually walk on air.
Day three- Use the guided pictures included to help students work through this experiment together. Pass out the included bookmarks to help remind students that together...we can walk on air!
Note: The only additional materials needed are balloons, masking tape, and a large light-weight table.
