During this study, your students will explore and read 12 literary genres. This unit is packed with 118 pages of resources to help your students learn to categorize literature. I have tried to include every resource in black/white and full color to make everything printer friendly! :) It includes daily tickets and skill posters to introduce each genre, a "Fill up the Pack" display to place in your reading center to encourage reading across the genres, a student book and student reading logs, and directions for the teacher!

Sadly, the seller didn't provide all that was described in her blog post about this item. This pack had been updated and the new pages were pictured on her blog dated Feb. 4, where she stated that the new pages would be added by the weekend. I purchased on Feb. 10 and the new pages were not there. I messaged her and she assured me they'd be there by that Friday. They weren't. It's now March 3rd and the new pages still aren't there. As I communicated to the seller, I wouldn't have purchased it at all if I'd known the new pages weren't included. I've messaged twice, hoping she'd come through with what she posted on her blog about the content.

I'm getting a bit frustrated that I haven't been able to get the rest of the pages for the literary genres pack. Had I known they weren't there to begin with, I wouldn't have bought the pack until they were. Your original post sounded like you had the new updated version available by the time I purchased on Feb. 10. I really need the folktale, fairy tale, etc pages very soon.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

During my short teaching career, I have never stayed in one place too long! :) I've been teaching for six years - 4 years in 1st grade,1 year in 2nd, and have now moved on to 3rd grade just this year. Looping has presented many challenges, but I have enjoyed all of the wonderful experiences that this model of teaching can offer. I adore my job and am always looking for ways to improve my instruction in the classroom. I have quickly learned that when you make learning magical, that is when it truly sticks for the "long haul". I enjoy creating resources that bring learning to life in my classroom, and I am so excited to be able to offer a little piece of that to you here on TPT. Happy Teaching! :)
