Updated 10/21/12: Use this activity to have students graph data from an individual bag of M&Ms. They start by using tally marks to count the colors. From there, they use that data to create a bar graph. The second page has questions pertaining to their graph. I updated the graph making a graphing activity for on level students (first two pages) and a graphing activity for above grade level students. Students are doing the same activity, but the ability level is different.

I started my career in teaching in the second grade. I taught second grade for four years. I moved to teaching fourth grade. While teaching 4th grade, I got my Masters in Reading and I currently am an Intervention Specialist. I primarily assist at-risk students in reading. I also provide additional assistance to students in math as well.
